FixEmbed Privacy Policy

FixEmbed is a Discord application that rewrites social media links so they embed correctly. This policy describes exactly what it stores. It is short because the app collects very little.

What we store

• Your Discord user ID. A number. Used to count free daily usage and to know whether you have paid.
• A daily usage counter. Reset each day so the free tier can be enforced. It expires automatically after 48 hours.
• Subscription status. If you buy Pro: your plan, whether it is active, and the renewal date.
• Aggregate usage events. Which platforms were fixed, how many links, and whether the user was on the paid tier.

What we do not store

• Message content. The message you right-click is processed in memory to find links and is never written to a database or a log.
• The links themselves. We record that a fix happened and for which platform, not which post you shared.
• Media. FixEmbed never downloads, stores, caches or re-hosts any video or image, at any point.
• Your email, name, avatar or Discord password. We never request them and cannot see them.
• Payment card details. Payments are handled by Stripe. Card numbers never reach our systems.

What Discord gives us

FixEmbed is installed to your user account, not to a server, so Discord does not grant it the ability to read channel history. When you right-click a message and run the command, Discord sends that single message's text with the request. That is the only message content the app ever sees, only for the message you explicitly acted on, and only at that moment.

How links are fixed

FixEmbed rewrites a link's domain to a third-party service that publishes correct preview tags for that platform. Your Discord client, and Discord's preview scraper, then load that link directly. We do not proxy the media and it does not pass through our servers. Those third-party services have their own privacy practices, which we do not control.

Where data lives

Usage counters sit in Cloudflare's edge storage. Subscription records sit in a Supabase (PostgreSQL) database. Payment records are held by Stripe. Database access is restricted to the application's own server-side credential.

How long we keep it

• Daily counters: expire automatically within 48 hours.
• Subscription records: kept while the subscription is active, and afterwards for as long as required for tax and accounting purposes.
• Usage events: retained in aggregate for service monitoring.

Deleting your data

Removing the app from your Discord account stops all collection immediately. To have stored records erased, contact us with your Discord user ID and we will delete them, except where we are legally required to retain a payment record.

Children

FixEmbed follows Discord's own minimum age requirements and is not directed at anyone below them.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the date above will change.
